Le sixième et dernier roman de la série "Ashes & Ember" tant attendu qui partage des éléments provenant à la fois du présent mais aussi du présent. On sait ce qui est arrivé à Ember, la femme d'Asher et à quel point il se plie en quatre pour celle qu'il aime.
Une femme, qui se redécouvre à travers ses propres écrits sans comprendre réellement pourquoi elle a choisi cette vie… Cette même personne qui n'arrive pas à s'approprier ce qu'elle était avec celle d'aujourd'hui.
