Le premier tome de la série "Mister" met en scène Brielle Johnston, une jeune Australienne de 25 ans expatriée à Londres pour s'occuper des deux enfants de Julian Masters, veuf depuis cinq ans. Si elle s'attendait à travailler pour une mère de famille, elle se trouvera attirée par son charme irrestible, tout comme lui, mais très vite les choses se compliqueront. En effet, certaines blessures du passé remontront et la culpabilité d'une personne l'empêchera d'être réellement heureux et de se contenter de choses plus physiques.
