C'est le premier tome de la série "Playboys of New York" où un mariage médiatisé annulé, une rencontre avec un des propriétaires d'une chaine d'hôtels de luxe des plus convoités de New York, des mois de frustrations qui débouchent sur une relation bien plus complexe qu'il n'y parait. Pour cela, les deux protagonistes sont obligés de faire face à de nombreux obstacles et leurs démons du passés pour que tout fonctionne entre eux.
