Ce premier tome met en scène un jeune patron ayant pris la relève familiale sans pour autant ressembler à son prédécesseur. Un homme, qui sous son regard froid se sent redevable pour cette mère de famille qui est une victime collatérale de son paternel.
Voilà pourquoi il se refuse tout écart avec Sabrina dont il se sent indéniablement attiré par elle et ce petit jeu du chat et de la souris va s'avérer être plus compliqué qu'il n'y paraît.
