Le premier tome de la série "The Hartford" n'est qu'une transposition de "Without warning" mais en utilisant cette fois-ci le point de vue de Stirling Hartford, le meilleur ami de Rhys, et sa sœur Audrey Davenport.
Mise à part l'exploration en profondeur de leurs sentiments, ceux qui ont lu la série précédente connaissent d'ores et déjà la finalité de l'histoire. D'ailleurs, c'était sympa de pouvoir retrouver les précédents protagonistes.
